Elaine Clerc
Elaine enjoys the challenge of taking a blank canvas, and creating paintings of subjects such as landscapes, being influenced by what she has seen while living in Saskatchewan, and now in Manitoba, or painting florals inspired by her own flower gardens. She also paints night cityscapes, using downtown Winnipeg as her inspiration.
Her goal is to bring out the unique beauty in all that has been created in our world. She desires to draw the viewer into each piece of art so that the painting speaks to them, and evokes an emotion.
Elaine realizes that there is never an end to honing her skills and in exploring new techniques in order to grow as an artist. She takes workshops, both locally and on line, watches teaching videos, and continues to learn from and interact with other artists.
She is a member of Local Colour Art Group, Gwen Fox Gallery in Selkirk, The Winnipeg Sketch Club, where she has sold her paintings and has also had paintings juried into groups such as the Manitoba Society of Artists. Elaine has had solo exhibitions in Golden Prairie Gallery in Carman,MB, the Framing and Art Centre, and has shown her work along with several other artists in several weekend shows.
Her paintings can be seen locally, as well across Canada, and abroad.
