Elaine Clerc

Born in Ontario, then moving to Saskatchewan, Elaine began her journey in art. Now residing in Winnipeg, she is a member of Local Color Art Group, where she paints and uses mostly acrylic medium to depict the beautiful Manitoba landscapes on canvas.

Elaine became interested in drawing and painting while in elementary school. During her last year in elementary school, she was selected to take special art classes at the Local Public Library. This solidified her love of creating art. Several years later, she also  took art classes, while living in Regina, and joined 2 art guilds.

Now living in Winnipeg, she paints mostly the Manitoba landscape. She likes to capture the light and shadows at different times of the day in her work. She has also expanded her work to include cityscapes, florals, and animals.

Elaine is also a member of the Gwen Fox Gallery, Cre&ery, and Manitoba Society of Artists and her paintings have been accepted into juried shows. Her work can be found in several provinces in Canada, and abroad.
