Autumn Robbie-Draward

Lydiatt artist Autumn Robbie-Draward has been innocently nurturing her artistic soul throughout her life.  First, when she was a young girl drawing and painting pictures and creating elaborate backdrops for her Barbies. Then as a teenager, writing stories and poetry and performing in school plays. Later as an adult, sewing, gardening and photographing her world while navigating her career to positions that cultivated her passion for wordsmithing.  Her awakening came with her first painting class with Victoria Beach artist and teacher, Nancy-Lou Ateah.

Although many of Autumn’s earlier pursuits are still part of her creative journey, her direction now comes with more thought, fashioned from the values that she has embraced to guide her every day living: community, connection, love and joy.  Her chosen mediums to express these values in a shout or whisper of colour are watercolour, acrylic and mixed media.

In 2015, her mixed media piece, Lost, won First Place in the mixed media category and Best in Show for the Eastman Regional Judged Art Exhibition and received an honourable mention the following year at the Manitoba Rural Art Exhibition. Her art hangs in personal collections across Canada.

Presently, she is creating under the mentorship of Milos Milidrag, and living life artfully on the banks of the Brokenhead River with her husband and pride of cats.
